Saturday, October 18th

10:00 – The Gully Gulch Run.
Join the largest convoy of adventure vehicles ever in Spain— to be fair it’s probably the first. So let’s set a record!!! We’ll line up at the famous gully featured in countless Western films, a beautiful off-road track suitable for all vehicles. We will head down the canyon together for a truly memorable experience. Let’s hope we don’t get ambushed!

12:00 – Group trip to Oasys Mini-Hollywood.
Located just 10 minutes down the road. Enjoy a completely unique day of Wild West shenanigans, including thrilling gunfights and captivating can-can dancers. A well-maintained wildlife park is there, with over 200 species of mainly African animals – giraffes, leopards, rhinos, plus some rare beauties such as Siberian gazelles. Exotic bird shows too!

18:00 – Return to Route 66
An evening packed with top-quality live music under the desert stars.
Featuring:

  • The Snakeskin Cowboys
  • Jake Collins (ex Wet Wet Wet)
  • Essencial, a Spanish rock band

Sunday, October 19th

Morning:
The morning is yours to explore! Choose from a tonne of optional activities:

  • 4×4 tracks. There are off-road routes everywhere; it is one huge playground
  • For non-4x4s, a gentle drive around the desert badlands of Tabernas, cruising through smooth tracks, taking in some famous film locations, and stopping for a light picnic (bring your own food).
  • Horse trekking in the wild west, just like Clint Eastwood! www.malcaminos.com
  • Guided 4×4 tours. Reasonably priced, although one of our 4×4 lot will probably happily have you ‘ride shotgun’ lol. www.malcaminos.com
  • Trekking/hiking. for those in 4x4s, this translates to walking for a good while, at natures pace, totally immersed, taking in the scenery near and far, feeling the land beneath your feet, and breathing the pure air—some people love it!!!).
  • Fort Bravo.If you haven’t had your fill of Western shoot outs, you can head a very short way to Fort Bravo to explore another famous film set/theme park.

+++

14:00: Return to Route 66.
Afternoon performances from Hokum and Hooch, Dave Manning, and surf-western band Portugueras. One helluva perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

+++

Evening:
A very special edition of Campers Got Talent/4×4 Factor with Rocket Ron! Starting with an air guitar championship, and going downhill from there!

Monday, October 20th

12:00
The convoy sets off from Route 66 heading to the bohemian beaches of Mojácar

Logistics: Meeting spot in Mojacar, the Watchtower. There is great wild camping there!

  • Accommodation: If you are checking into a local campsite or hotel, that’s great. If you are wild camping, there are loads of places along the gorgeous beaches; we’ll give you a map of suitable beaches to choose from.
  • Parking: Under 5m is fine, unusual to have any problems, and over 5m is usually fine, but you can park on the road or other spots, which again we will show you on a map.

+++

4:00 PM: The Treasure Hunt
Meet on the beach at Playa Del Sombrerico. There be gold, there be pirates, and there be surprises…

Refreshments: The onsite and supercool Chiringuito Manaca will be open for tapas and drinks.

Tuesday, October 21st

The Mojácar Music Mile begins…
more details to follow as acts and venues are still confirming. But if you love your live music, with a wide variety of genres, playing along a beach strip that is so cool and cute, with a huge variety of great restaurants, then this is for you.

From Tuesday to Saturday, there will be 3 different venues each night (all free entry) all playing live music and putting their best foot forward.

You get to be judges, marking each venue on ambience as well as music choice, all vying for the title (and trophy!) for the Mojcar Music Mile 2025.
