KLIM Athletes Cross the Finish Line at Africa Eco Race 2025: A Triumph of Skill and Grit

The sands of Lac Rose echoed with the cheers of an enthusiastic crowd as the Africa Eco Race 2025 reached its thrilling conclusion. This year, five incredible athletes supported by KLIM, the esteemed US premium off-road brand, showcased their skills and determination, proving once again that the spirit of adventure drives us all.

In a race where tension clung to the air until the very end, competitors faced not just the challenges of the rugged terrain but also the test of their mental fortitude. The legacy of Thierry Sabine lives on, igniting the dreams of many who dare to take on such grueling trials. Among the group, our KLIM athletes exemplified excellence, with standout results across the board:

• Guillem Martinez from Spain blazed through to claim an impressive 4th Place Overall, securing the title of 1st Rookie and 1st in Extreme on his KTM 450 Rally Replica.
• Mathieu Liebert representing Belgium conquered the course with a stellar 5th Place Overall finish, locking in 3rd in the 450 Class, also on a 450 Rally Replica.
• Austrian Luca Seppele made his mark in the Rookie Class, finishing 3rd and achieving 21st Overall on his Kove 450 Rally Pro.
• Trailblazer Stephanie Rowe from the UK made history as the 1st Woman ever to finish all stages of the race without assistance, taking the title of 1st placed Woman in Extreme and finishing 42nd Overall on her KTM 450 Rally Replica.
• Rounding out the incredible performances, Vincente Biau of France fought his way to 19th in Extreme and 57th Overall on a Suzuki DR 800.

The ultimate victory was fiercely contested, with Jacopo Cerutti from Italy triumphing on his Aprilia Tuareg, narrowly beating Alessandro Botturi (Yamaha) by just 26 seconds after thousands of kilometers of relentless racing. Guillaume Borne (Husqvarna) rounded out the podium, showcasing just how razor-thin the margins of this competition can be.
